Rider’s performance value will be calculated in the Vet Sport class as follows: total number of points earned (using the most current Rider Advancement Point scale in the AMA rulebook) divided by number of points-earning finishes. Only 92 riders in the whole USA that got bumped from B to A, this is less than 2 per state on average. The system is really still a bit flawed. The top B riders know how to skirt the system for sure. When you have a system based on points per race they just sandbag a few races that do not matter and thus are able to stay B.
