Tech Demo: Arauna - Raytracing and Global Illumination - Geeks3D
https://www.geeks3d.com/20090406/tech-demo-arauna-raytracing-and-global-illumination/
Arauna is a Direct3D 9 real time ray tracer with global illumination (GI) support. On my system (Core2Duo 8400 + GeForce GTS 250 + WinXP sp2 32-bit), the demo runs at around 10 FPS. Both CPU cores are used and the author recommends a Core i7 to get optimal performance. You can download the demo here: arauna_gi.zip (16Mb). [via] tech demo

We decided to create a new thread for results of this Little Demo / Bench. After seeing the above Time of Light Thread on XS, The man behind the Arauna Ray tracing engine has kindly made this little Benchmark up, that runs through a 3D map rendered using Ray Tracing on your CPU. This also runs correctly on all Modern CPU's. So a big

Laguna is a new small OpenCL path tracer (ray tracer) based on a precalculated blocks structure. I tested Laguna on an EVGA GeForce GTX 680 ( R301.24) and a MSI Radeon HD 7970 ( Cat 12.4) at a resolution of 800×600 and 1920×1080 (you can change settings in the scene.txt file): 1920×1080 fullscreen: GTX 680: 12 FPS. HD 7970: 13 FPS.
