Avoid Route 115 at all costs. Leave early if you don't mind doing so. There's a big difference in leaving with 30 to go compared to leaving after the checkered flag. Since you're going to Pocono (NASCAR's rain central), I suggest parking closer to the track than the exit. I parked not far from where a fan was struck and killed by lightning last year.

For cup bring a propane grill and some breakfast food and get there early between 7-8 because traffic is a bitch later on. Same deal after the race, bring some burgers and dogs cook them up and wait for traffic to flow out because again, it's a mess leaving the lot.
