Its really depending on the track. Small tight tracks shaft drive might be better given alittle more torque or instant drive as belt drive are alittle more linear. VTA Racing Chassis. I have recently gotten into the VTA or Vintage Trans Am racing. I have been borrowing my buddies car for about 5 races (10 year old model). you can be very competitive with any chassis in VTA. If you are not sure you'll keep running get a TC4. Lots of them out there and do well in VTA and lots of help out there for them. Personally I think you could get a TC6.1 WC or another newer style belt driven car reasonably priced. I just saw a TC6.2 in the classifieds for $200 and change.

If so the chassis doesn't really matter unless you want to compare the specs and performance of a low end chassis (mine) vs a high end like the TC6 or an xray. Even then, the rules for VTA are so strict that skill is really the only factor that will affect how well you do. level 2.
