The Holberts were racers, as evidenced here by this 914-6 roadster that Al drove in C Production during the 1972 SCCA Runoffs at Road Atlanta. Al finished fourth, behind the Datsun 240Z teammates Bob Sharp and Jim Fitzgerald, and the Triumph TR6 of Bob Tullius. This was the first race where I actually took notice of Al as an emerging star driver.
