The Competition Road Course, this year, will again host spectator races such as the Trans Am Series, club racing, the BIR Performance Driving School, among others. BIR’s 3.1-mile Donnybrooke Road Course opened in 1968. It has served BIR well while playing host to some of the most exciting events and the biggest names in racing.

Brainerd International Raceway is the largest racetrack in the Upper Midwest and may offer the most diverse motorsports schedule anywhere. BIR is also home of the BIR Performance Driving School, which offers a number of driving programs.

Race Fuel is available at Nitro Square which is located adjacent to the BIR Front Office. Firewood is available for sale at BIR and should be purchased here to prevent the spread of invasive pests. Radio Signals Drag racing is aired on 105.3 FM. Road racing is on 87.9 FM. Road racing on the 3.1-mile Donnybrooke Road Course is on 105.3 FM.

The CRA provides a safe environment for the amateur motorcycle roadracer. Governed and staffed entirely by volunteers, the CRA is proud to be called the safest, and one of the most affordable roadracing organizations in the country. On-site camping is available, including 164 full-service RV sites. Daily admission is $20.

The road course also became a favourite for motorcycle racers. In 1982, superbikes came to town when BIR hosted the Honda Classic Camel Pro Series. Three-time 500cc world champion Wayne Rainey won the superbike final that first year and then repeated in 1986 and 1987.
