The British Pigeon Show Society was formed in March 1948 by leading fanciers of the day wanting to set up a major Championship Show for the whole fancy. A subscription fund was set up to give the show a working capital of £2.2s for Patrons, £1.1s for Honorary Vice Presidents and 7s6d for Ordinary Members.

Wild bird seed or brown rice will be fine, along with an old margarine tub for water. Pigeons can be contained in a cat box or dog crate or even a cardboard box with holes in for ventilation. If you have the bird contained and it has a closed ring with the prefix NPA on the ring, report it to the NPA who will trace the owner.
