In 2000, Buck Kinney became the first Canadian to be inducted into the NHRA Hall of Fame. Buck sold the car to Wayne Darby in 2000 and Wayne continued to campaign the car up and down the west coast for 6 years. He was runner-up to the finals on several occasions but alas…no Wally’s…yet. Bob McLean (September 24, 1933 – March 26, 1966) was a hugely successful Canadian racing driver. McLean's driving career culminated in 1965 with the Canadian Driving Championship title. McLean died in a fiery crash after striking a power pole, during the 1966 12 Hours at Sebring, driving a Ford GT40.
