After the 1st BUSA Match racing Qualifier was cancelled we have been trying to set another date to hold it, however this has not been possible. We have now decided NOT to run qualifiers this year, but will instead run a 3 day Championship on the 15/16/17th April with 16 places available.

At 1pm the Event Director, Robin Richardson, cancelled racing for the day as the fog returned to the reservoir. These 6 teams will now have to attend another 1 day qualifier next year, in order to qualify for the BUSA RYA Match Racing Finals in April 2006. The date of this will be circulated to the competitors by the end of the week.

The 2020 Match Racing Championships will be held from 17th - 19th April 2020 at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, using Elliott boats. Teams representing UK universities, will consist of 3-4 sailors weighting no more than 260Kgs in total. the team must include at least 1 male and 1 female sailor. The event will consist of 4 stages;

Over the past two days the BUSA team have been involved in some intensive training for the Match Racing Trophy match. The team were sailing a 40.7 kindly loaned by 407 racing from Lymington. A variety of conditions ensured some very productive training was possible.
