Heat the vinyl with the gun until soft and then start pulling and pushing with a credit card to help it along. Any residue can be taken off with some mineral spirits (paint thinner) a soft rag and alot of elbow grease.. :haha: Save. Share.

If its old, its going to come off in pieces and its a pita, but can be done. Last ones I did were only 2 years old, and I just let it soak up the sun for about 6 hours and it mostly peeled off in very large sections. You will also have some paint discoloration underneath. From firsthand experience, do NOT use a stripe removal wheel.

That's why I posted what I did. If someone has limited skills they should get it done. If they want to get hands on then they should leave it in the sun or use a hair dryer.
