1977 Carlton Pro Am. 64cm frame. Totally original and owned by me from new. Little use (still has original brake blocks!) and always dry stored, so in very good condition. £175 O.N.O. The Pro Am is one of my all time favourite bikes! I nearly bought one in 1980 but ended up with a Criterium instead (which was stolen within 6 months). The ice blue colour scheme with dark blue lining was bang on trend, very modern, clean and uncluttered.

Bike Description. Calton Pro Am men's racing bike. Frame is between 22-24 inches but I can't remember precisely. Has black foam grips, no tape on handlebars. Drop lever gears. Sticker on the frame below the seat post saying that the bike was purchased from Canterbury Cycle Mart, and I recall the date being about 1981. Raleigh embossed crank arms.

I bought the frame, bars, saddle/post off eBay - built in 1980, apparently it is one of the last Carlton Pro Am bikes from the Worksop factory before Raleigh moved production. I have since added: Campagnolo Daytona crank Weinmann 500 brakes Suntour VX front and rear mech Generic wheels from Taiwan (RD900S)
