Before I got my cert, the ratings I saw for the Capri 22 were variously 204 and 207. I was quite surprised when my cert came back with a number as high as 213. My reaction to your post is really that you are getting your knickers in a twist about not much at all. At Capri 22 speeds, 3 sec/mile is about a quarter of a boatlength in a mile.
