Chicagoland lost its race in 2020 due to COVID-19 and had a slot this year given to Road America in Wisconsin. St. Louis’ Worldwide Technology Raceway and Fontana’s Auto Club Speedway were added to the schedule. The Daytona Road Course will also not return in 2022. Soon after, NASCAR announced that the event at Chicagoland Speedway would be canceled. The event was originally scheduled to run on June 21st, 2020. NASCAR is set to restart their season on May 17th at Darlington Raceway. That will be followed be six more events held at just Darlington and Charlotte Motor Speedway.
