The CL160 Scrambler is a 4-Stroke,161cc motorcycle with a 4-Speed transmission. It was produced by Honda from 1966-68. The Scrambler name, upswept exhaust and skid plate implied some off-road use but this was mostly a street motorcycle. The 1966 model was equipped with only a kick start and one option for colors, dark silver with black.

Tell us more about the bike and racing it! It's a CL160 frame, and a CL175 engine. I started racing a CL160 in '06, up here in the PNW in the "Formula 160" class of vintage racing. Eventually swapped out the engine for a 175 to stay competitive, since everyone else was doing it.

An alternative is the diminutive Honda CB160, the mini-bike of vintage motorcycle racing. Forget 40 large, because around $1,800 will get all the parts you need to build one yourself; $1,500-$3,500 will get you a nice, good running 160 while a ready-to-go-vintage-racing 160 will only set you back $4,000-$7,500, tops.

CL160 Rear Chain?

    https://www.vintagehondatwins.com/forums/showthread.php?4385-CL160-Rear-Chain
CB160s came out of the crate with 38 teeth on the rear, CL160s were 40 tooth rears. For information, a 108 link chain fits a CB160 with 16/38 sprockets. I think the recommended 110 link chain would also fit as there is plenty of room on the adjusters. The 428 spec chain isn't the original spec, but works fine.
