The Country Racing Association of Western Australia was originally proposed by Dixie Solly at a meeting of the TAB Clubs Racing Association in November of 1988. At the time there were seven regional associations in Western Australia responsible for organising and administering their respective country race meetings.

Throughout the previous racing season points are awarded to jockeys, trainers, apprentices and horses that attend and support our CRA member’s race meetings wherever they are in the state of Western Australia. The awards are based on 4 points a win, 2 points for second, and 1 point for third in every race.
