I want to do a simple build to run a max of 8lbs of boost because I don't want anything crazy to where I need to build my internals. I saw a vid on YouTube by CxRacing where they boosted a d16 on stock internals.

I know 2 local E30's running cxracing turbo's and honestly they do just fine and both cost under $200, the CXracing turbos are computer balanced before shipment. Ive searched all the old turbo kit threads and couldn't find much on the CX Racing kits. http://www.cxracing.com Everyone thinks there're just another chinacharger kit but they claim to be manufactured in the USA and thoroughly tested on their vehicles. Ive heard CX racing is the best of the low end turbos.

Cx racing intercoolers are decent but not the highest quality out there. The exhaust pipes are thin, but seem ok. I have an eBay exhaust on my talon that is holding up fine. The manifold will probably crack eventually. The turbo is likely junk and I would only run a known turbo like a garrett or precision.

CX is a cheap, bare minimum kit. If you go with them, plan on replacing bolts and clamps with higher quality, stronger pieces. Plan on replacing the turbo, BOV, and wastegate as all three are knock-offs. Apart from the turbo, all three mentioned parts at least function. BOV works when adjusted and wastegate properly holds boost at WG pressure.
