I have very mixed opinions of the CX kit. Yes I got my car running using everything supplied from the kit including the cheap wastegate and bov. People complained about the CX bov's not opening and causing compressor surge but mine work fine so far.

05-09-2013, 12:18 PM. I know 2 local E30's running cxracing turbo's and honestly they do just fine and both cost under $200, the CXracing turbos are computer balanced before shipment. For some, the kit has held up to abuse. For others, you see wastegate failure which results in overboosting and kaboom. You see turbo failure which can send shards into your engine. You risk BOV failure. Bottom line, the kit is hit or miss. It's not true to say it's a waste of money or a guaranteed failure, but it's a risk nonetheless.

I'd recommend CXRACING single with the Dual 8psi Gates. You won't get any boost creep with them, and 8psi is safe for a stock block. The ad says no cut either, so install should be a breeze.. Their Headers are Stainless and not Mild Steel, so they won't rot out. It will be a lot of fun and you will make 500hp easy..

CX racing is some of the best "Ebay" parts. I recommend them for the amatuer Civic tuner, as well as the experienced car person, any day. I saw the CXracing kit installed in an issue of 5.0 and the kit looks clean, manifolds look great, and they got a good review. But I am looking for real world reviews. The 11.50s are a goal, not set on the 400/400 just hoping for at least that on around 9#. Car does have a dedicated drag suspension, and slicks/skinnys and the driver mod lol. Save
