Im not looking for a crazy expensive set up, I understand this kit might not be the best quality as far as the turbo potentially. If the tubes, turbo header , intercooler fit right and the welds are good thats all i'm looking for. Also worth mentioning my car is a 04 325ci with a getrag 250g 5speed.My ecu firmware is ms45.

CX is a cheap, bare minimum kit. If you go with them, plan on replacing bolts and clamps with higher quality, stronger pieces. Plan on replacing the turbo, BOV, and wastegate as all three are knock-offs. Apart from the turbo, all three mentioned parts at least function. BOV works when adjusted and wastegate properly holds boost at WG pressure.

It was a good little turbo, but in hindsight I would have had the wastegate ported. I felt that it's volumetric efficiency started suffering at the high RPM's. All in all though, very similar to the F4-L. Actually, the F4-L may flow a little more on account of Slappy opening up the wastegate on his turbos.

CX also uses fiber reinforced couplers and decent china t-bolt clamps that are about as good as any t-bolt clamp on the market. In this regard, a lot of "quality" is perceived and not actually present. Not a fan of any non-EOM turbo, though.

CXRacing seems to have the market cornered for fairly reliable knock-off brand turbo's. My personal recommendation would be to find a decent used turbo from a genuine company like Holset or Borg Warner. This only applies to the turbo, I have no opinion on the rest of CXRacings stuff because I haven't owned any...yet.
