Written on: 18/07/2009 I bought my giro 300 in may 2009. i did'nt have a lot of money to spend, so i opted for the dawes. i must say that it's a very good bike for the money, fast and sporty. It also looks a lot more expensive than it is and does turn heads. When i tell people what it cost they are quite shocked.

My first impression of the Dawes Giro 300 is that it looks fantastic. It has a very elegant red paint finish. I examined it very closely and found no defects, scratches or blemishes in the finish. I only had to make a couple of slight adjustments to the bicycles original setup and it was ready to ride.

It's a Dawes Giro Competition 300 from 1995-98 (I think). It has the full 3x7 RSX groupset, with the exception of the brake calipers which oddly (and surprisingly) are the very nice looking and great condition first generation black Dura-Ace jobs. They stop the bike okay, though I have some mid-90's 105 calipers which I'll likely swap them out for.
