If the traction/stability control kicks in and cuts power, it's going to slow you down way, way more than wheelspin. Even in Sport Mode, the car will still shut you down if you spin the wheels too much. Sport Mode does NOT turn traction control off, but just allows for a little more room before traction control or stability control kick in.
