If you get your car tested on a rolling road the resulting graph will show where this power band is. ZO6/Les. Yep, a properly set up automatic will beat the stick in the 1/4 mile. Not true in a road course or auto-X though, and an auto with a high stall is not the easiest thing to drive around town. For me I will stay with the manual tranny. Although I have no use for an auto in my sportscars, I have to agree totally.
