The SCC dragon boat team is called the SCC Phoenix, and is a co-ed racing team that competes in provincial festivals. Our boat has 20 paddlers, including 10 women, plus a drummer and steersperson. The drummer is a ceremonial position that also helps keep the cadence of our strokes. The steersperson is the command caller and steers the boat.
