The story of Ecurie Ecosse began before the Second World War when an Edinburgh accountant, David Murray, began motor racing, taking part in rallies, hill climbs and also Le Mans, the world’s greatest sports car 24-hour endurance race. He entered a BMW in the 1937 race, but his co-driver Patrick Fairfield was killed in a mass pile-up.

Ecurie Classic Racing is back for 2022, following an incredible debut season. The series is aimed at pre-66 club racing GT cars running on Dunlop tyres. The rules allow for a wide variety of cars up to 2700cc, including MGAs and Bs, Triumph TRs, and Morgans, as well as a range of Jaguars thanks to our partnership with the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club.
