After leading for 60 of the 150 lap Bay State Classic PASS feature at Seekonk Speedway (Mass) on Wednesday night, Eddie Mac rallied from a flat right tire on lap 123 to post an impressive fourth place finish. The veteran racer started on the outside pole after easily winning the second of four heats in the 32 car field.

He has been with Eddie since his teenage years racing at Lee USA Speedway. Herbie’s ties to the MacDonald family extend back to the days when Eddie’s father Red owned the #1 Supermodified. His greatest memory from the “early” days was the CanAm Championship at Star Speedway with Dave Thomas at the wheel with just Red and himself as the mechanics.

Eddie MacDonald is a former NASCAR driver from Tifton, GA. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career with one top-ten. All three of MacDonald's races came in 1966, when he debuted in the Firecracker 400 at Daytona. Starting 36th in the field, MacDonald completed 144 of the 160 laps before finishing 18th.
