Land speed dry lake bed racing El Mirage recreation area is a vast 24400-acre off-road area to ride motorcycles, ATVs, and other OHV's and is also home to the El Mirage Time Trials Land Speed Races. The length track or strip is 1.3 miles, with an extended shutdown area at the end. Five vehicles broke the 200 mph mark at this October event.
