ProCal II will initiate programming and display % complete for each reprogramming step. Please be patient and do NOT disconnect power, turn the ignition key off, or unplug the tool or you may need to send your PCM back to Ford Racing for repair before the vehicle will start. “Update Complete” will be displayed for successful programming.

The Procal II is not as sophisticated or as capable as the SCTs and the Diablos, but it's much nicer than the previous generation Procal. This one allows you to adjust for tire size, differential gear ratio and offers a 2-step octane adjustment. With the octane adjust - you initially set "N" and if you hear knocking, you re-program with "Y".

The Pro-Cal II is different from the old black box Pro-Cal I, with an external memory card. I believe the locking of the software to the vehicle may occur in the Pro-Cal rather than on the software in the MMC card, but I would have to find someone who actually knows about these (no one I can reach at FRPP does), or try it myself if I could.
