David --- FFB is really much simpler than most people on the forums make it out to be. First, the defaults are correct about 95% of the time, so in general it should already be close to optimal out of the box.

Luckily, iRacing has a tool that automatically sets the optimal ffb strength. Simply press F9 while driving and after a lap or two an “Auto” button will appear in yellow. Click auto to set optimal ffb. Simple as that. Remember to repeat this process for every track and car combination though because it will change.
