The 2022 Ice Racing Season is Canceled! Unfortunately, we have made the decision to cancel the remaining events scheduled for this year. While the ice has gotten thicker throughout the season, the temperatures in Georgetown have continued to be very inconsistent and these frequent freeze/thaw cycles are not great for ice.

Ice Racing in Competitive Brackets. Entry fee is $26.50 per driver per class. Daily Deadlines. Volunteers for Tech, Track, Greeters and Registration should be at the lake at 7:00am to start setting up. Drivers must go through Tech Inspection and check in between 7:30am and 8:30am. The ice depth and quality is checked in four different areas before anyone is allowed to enter the lake. The ice in Georgetown averages 12 to 22 inches throughout January and February. There must be 12 inches to hold a race, 18 inches before trucks and trailers are allowed onto the ice and 20+ inches before large RVs are allowed on the ice.
