Joe I am sure pre 2007 the SCR was known as the OCR therefore your mystery SCR cant be any earlier than a 2007. The 4 that year had white bar tape. Giant used to list the bikes by year on their website but don't have them up anymore. Its not a 3 is it as this also has Sora shifters? I've got the SCR 1.0, which I believe shares the same frame and forks. I ride it daily and love it. £120 doesn't sound much if its what your after and of course it fits. If you want to try road riding then its a cheap way to give it a go on a reasonable first bike, could always sell it on for the same money if you decide to. This might help:

Well I have a Giant and find it miles too big. I'm 5'11 and ordered the same size as you - luckily I picked up another bike a few weeks ago which fits perfectly - and its a 53cm frame. Go for 53 - 56cm - I wouldn't go higher.

More serious cyclist than Bonj. Location. Nottingham. 3 Jul 2008. #2. SCR4 is a compact double, SCR3 is a compact tripple (IIRC). Got carbon forks on SCR3 which means slightly less weight compared to SCR4. But the shifters are still the same on both of them, they have that silly tab on the side instead of the paddle like on Tiarga upward models.
