Stick with the GP4000s for racing, but the Vittoria Zaffiro (Pro and standard) are both good trainers. I ran basic Zaffiros that came with the bike for 2 years of training/commuting (about 15k I reckon). The only punctures I had were big chunks of flint or glass, both of which are quite reasonable. 1.
