I've noticed the current 6120 (plain, basic model) has a depth of 2.5 versus the Setzer 2.75, and the Setzer's also have the 59 Trestle bracing. My main questions would be: 1- what bracing does the plain Nashville have, and how does it compare to the 59 Trestle bracing? 2- How is feedback issue with plain Nashville?

The most popular models having this bracing system were the 6120 Chet Atkins model and the Anniversary model. A few 1957 models have been reported having this bracing system. 3,788. Dec 11, 2010. #9. I've owned and gigged with 6120s with and without the trestle bracing. I like both! The soundpost models have a bit more of a mid-focussed tone whereas the trestle braced guitars have more bass and treble and slightly less mids. It's not chalk and cheese though, and both still sound like a 6120.

The lighter bracing on the 6120 gives it a more resonent, lively sound relative to the Country Gentleman. Both, however, are VERY nice, interesting guitars for jazz, IMO. If you are apt to try Gretsch guitars for jazz, may I recommend the Van Eps and the Country Club models even more highly than the CG and 6120.
