The H Modified racing class, what later morphed into D Sports Racer (DSR) and then Prototype 2 (P2), is the longest lived internationally sanctioned racing class in existence. This is not an accident of history but rather is an acknowledgement of the importance of its value as a training class for racers as well as for the mechanical innovations that regularly come out of the class.

The TXP is a one off Hmod racing car that looks like a 7/8th scale Jaguar D Type. It raced for many years in SCCA races (mostly in the Mid West) starting from the mid 1950's and had an incredible record: 7th in the SCCA National Hmod class in 1954 , 10th in the SCCA National Hmod class in 1955 , and 5th in the SCCA National Hmod class in 1957 !

Winning the H-modified Division in California Sports Car Club's Pacific Coast Champion- ship two years in succession (1958-1959) is quite a feat..the competition is rough, rugged and fast. He also copped 2nd in H-modified standings in SCCA Regional awards in 1958, and Class H-modified number two spot in Motoracing's Pacific Coast Championship in 1959.
