This 1972 Hawke DL9A is a Formula Ford designed by David Lazenby, a former mechanic for Jim Clark and principal at Lotus Components. The car was imported in the early 2000s to the US, where it was refurbished by Bob Yarwood and later acquired by the seller in 2005. The 1,600cc Kent inline-four was rebuilt by Ivey Engines in 2007 and is paired with a Hewland Mk.8 transaxle.

PA Motorsport has a Hawke DL2a Historic Formula Ford project for sale. The car is complete and has been stripped for restoration. The chassis has been refurbished and re-coated and fitted with a new aluminium floor. The suspension is complete with many new wishbones that have been polished and nickel plated. Various rod ends have been replaced.
