John Fuller (CT) found it on a used car lot in 1968 and Len Greenhalgh (#37) raced it in Fuller's Viper Racing Team. Purchased in 1970 and raced (#87 & #80) by Frank Grimaldi (MA) until sold to Jim Briody (MD) in 1975 and raced in his Pumpkin Racing Team (#24) through 1979. `Returned home' to Grimaldi just before a pending sale to New Zealand.

Participants and enthusiasts represent an upscale market with large discretionary incomes. Major corporate sponsors such as Hawk Performance, RaceLink, B.R.M. and others are utilizing HSR in their marketing programs.

The grid will be split into two groups: one for all ‘current’ GT4 cars that are still eligible to compete globally, and a ‘classic’ class for older models that are now out of homologation. The GT4 Classic Silverstone Challenge will consist of one 27-minute qualifying session and two 30-minute races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
