Really it depends on the condition of the vinyl. If its old, its going to come off in pieces and its a pita, but can be done. Last ones I did were only 2 years old, and I just let it soak up the sun for about 6 hours and it mostly peeled off in very large sections. You will also have some paint discoloration underneath.

The only hard areas are the bumpers and roof if you simply use vinyl by the foot. If you have a kit that was made for you car, it will have all the contours cut into the application. Use lots of soap and water, or as we do it now rubbing alcohol instead, it will evaporate alot better and leave less bubbles and so forth. W welchy Active User
