I called two local places and both quoted me $200-$250 for the install alone if I provide the stripes. Mind you the stripes themselves are under $150. For some reason this seems rather high to me. If they know what they are doing, I am assuming it can't take more than 3-4 hours which breaks down to over $50/hr and to me that seems just a tad steep.

Here in SC and in Florida, I was quoted $1500-2,000 for stripes from a very good auto painter. This is for hood, top and rear. It will depend on what you want striped and how good the painter is. A good custom full paint job can be 10 grand and up. Was going to go for the $1500-2000 but can't decide if I want stripes now and if so, what color.
