Depends on what you ask for when talking about stroker cranks. The counter balance is added for the increased throgh, and most aftermarket cranks will weigh more than the stock stuff as the stock stuff is pretty pathetic. The average 302 crank drops on the balancer with bob weight at about 30lbs.

A 3.98 stroke for instance with a 4.08-4.13 bore would work with a lot of induction systems up to 6000-6500 or so and with a significantly lighter crank rods and pistons would be pretty spry losing all of that parasitic weight.
