I have heard a lot of guys lately are paying $350 for vinyl. Again, that may not include bumbers. I too have just had my vinyl removed and had them painted. It is like night and day. I paid a bit more since I had some additional work done. My Stripes were about $1500. The vinyl after a few years tends to get cloudy.
