My Stripes were about $1500. The vinyl after a few years tends to get cloudy. I've heard of shrinking but did not experience that. Also, it is very hard for vinyl guys to get the surface smooth so you will likely get some debris under the vinyl and look like a pimple. Maybe that is the difference with a good shop and a bad.

I don't know the exact cost of bumper2bumper stripes from rider graphix but I'd be willing to get the install cost for stripes is atleast 200. So your looking at 350-400 ish fir vinyl which will look fine and last long enough. I called two local places and both quoted me $200-$250 for the install alone if I provide the stripes. Mind you the stripes themselves are under $150. For some reason this seems rather high to me. If they know what they are doing, I am assuming it can't take more than 3-4 hours which breaks down to over $50/hr and to me that seems just a tad steep.

What kind of stripes did you buy? I was quoted $700-$800 to have my boss 302 stripe kit installed. I was able to find a sign shop that does the decals for my local PD. he quoted me $180 for install but their was a wait list if 4 weeks. Ended up installing them my self with no problems.

Depending on how you want to do it, painting them can be $1000 or more. Biggest question to ask yourself is, do you want your car completely re-clear coated, so you cannot feel the ridge from the painted stripe? if so, it will need to be sanded to remove/rough up the existing clear, stripes painted, and the entire car clear coated.
