I have a tiny foot, and heel toe is pretty hard to do on my GSR. The pedals seem so far away, same as yours. I drove a Mini S, and a Miata recently, and the pedals are so perfectly setup. The spacing of the Sparco mounting holes is a bit tight compared to the bracket on the back of the pedals and doing this cleared things up for the lock nuts that go on the back. Anyway, drill the holes and bolt on the pedals. Make sure that when you drill, your holes are straight, or else the pedals will mount crooked.
