If it's above 35 I'd just rub warm conditions wax on and leave it bumpy. Sounds crazy and lazy, but for a run or two it's FAST. The bumpy bumps serve as wicked structure. If your ski base already has a pretty radical structure then do what NE1 says.. If it's a normal grind bumby wax is better than smooth wax on really wet snow.
