You should be able to mount the pins where the OE adjustable rubber stoppers are. Then, once they're mounted there, you can fashion up someway to transfer the drilling spot on the hood from the pin. I dabbed some red paint on top of the pin, then slowly dropped the hood on it gently to transfer a paint mark where to drill. I too have the FRPP pins.

Then I got a 1/4" piece of steal and drilled and tapped it for the hood pins. Then I welded that piece of steal onto the core support where the adjustment pins used to be. Then installed the pins. I put a little bit of RTV on top of the pins and put the hood down. The pins will mark where you need to drill on the hood. Then I drilled out the hood.
