The Megan header is a pile of garbage. I've installed two personally and seen a few others fail first hand. They leak from the factory and have inconsistent fitment as well as shoddy weld quality. On top of that, Megan does very little R&D so you're really not guaranteed to make consistent power.

I am thinking of getting a header too for my GS-R. I have read many times that the 4-1 set ups are much better. More performance and it wont leak after time. That is just what I have read. So I think I'm going with the 4-1 header instead of the 4-2-1. They do make the 4-2-1 in one peace but performance wise the 4-1 is still better. That's my $.02.

cliff: megan race header is very comparable to BCRH as far as performance. fitment is a bit off since the header hanger doesn't fit. megan header is longer than stock so exhaust tip sticks out a bit more. Megan racing didn't send my any of the gaskets that were supposed to come with the race header, i talk to megan racing directly and they said that was weird, and that they would be more than happy to ship some out, he also said that they recommend using the oem exhaust gasket that connects to the head.
