In the pedal configuration tool you just press the button you want to use. Can confirm, I have a Logitech Driving Force GT & got the center/horn/GT button assigned as a clutch. Theres also a "second clutch" box under the pedal/wheel in that first menu you can click then press whatever button you want to use.

When you first set up your 2nd clutch button it needs to be set to 100% in vJoy. Then set it up in iRacing with that value. You can then change the setting in vJoy to whatever you like (e.g. 43%). Then when you press the clutch iRacing will be expecting 100%, but because your axis is now set to say 43% it will only press it in to 43%.

Although I am not sure if it is different in the mx-5 (I am from the oval side of things) there is an option to setup auto-clutch. When you are in a practice session, or waiting for a race to start, click on options, on the top right side of the page, and on the first page, if you go near the bottom right hand corner, you should find an option for auto-clutch

Comments. Yes, that's possible. Just follow the instruction video and make sure you have at least driver 335 installed which is required for the Advanced Paddle Module (assuming you have that?!) Well, only the Advanced Paddle Module has two clutch paddles so of course only with that addon the Clutch Bite Point works.
