I am haply to find your post because it's propably iRacing related. It happened once while practicing alone after 12 laps big freeze sound + image then simulator close. I'm having issues with iRacing freezing and/or stuttering in the middle of races. I've gone in to graphics settings and brought down the values of everything to medium or low, brought the max comp/ram (??) usage down so that if there are background processes running it doesn't affect iRacing.
