Let me start out by saying I really love the new iRacing tyre model. It’s brought a sense of feel to the sim that has been sorely lacking in my opinion. While it’s not perfect, the jump in behaviour from the previous version is really impressive and the work done by the team is something that should be lauded in my opinion.

The back end basically drifts without any wheel correction. There's something wrong there and I'm sure iRacing will adress it. The Skip Barber is pretty good on the new tire model as well. iRacing isn't for everyone and they've said all along they won't add any canned effects so it will always be more subtle than what you get from AC or rF2.

It's much better than the Porsche cup car was when the tire model first launched. A little more twitchy but in a realistic and controllable manner. You can no longer pin the throttle out of EVERY corner. You have to modulate a bit more. Also, you can catch the car easier than on the old model when the rear starts to break free. -4 level 2
