Please realize when IRC released this tire in 1994 - it was intended as a smooth, groomed XC race course tire. It absolutely excels, in that environment. The supple CAF red sidewalls need to remain farthest away from hazardous surfaces. The tight, tall tread lugs are specifically designed to roll fast in dry, loamy dirt with a smattering of scree.

The rear-specific Mythos XCII Kevlar race would be ok (not great) for riders to 120lb. A reveiwer below says it is better reversed and looking at the tread pattern I am sure that would be true. Braking and rolling resistance would suffer a bit. Not a problem on the rear. Someone try reversing it in the middle of a ride and post if the difference.
