Pretty much if your not at a National Class by the time your 18, its too late to do it as a job. BUT if your looking at saloon racing, LeMans, GT etc. then you still have time. But the issue is with your age, you will need to pay your own way for a long time because as an 18 year old, Sponsors would be more willing to back the 18 year old with a vast history rather than a new guy on the block.

Although you have left it quite late, it is not too late at all. In fact I personally believe that the older you begin sprinting properly, the more potential you have.
