The J/80 West Coast Championship was held on Oct 9 and 10 as part of the Puget Sound Sailing Championship organized by the Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle. While several local teams couldn’t make it to the event, eight boats raced in the regatta.
J/80 Class Rules Proposals Approved
The clinic used the J/80 fleet on Lake Travis, gratefully supplied by the local J/80 owners. The program ended up with fifty-six sailors on fourteen boats with fourteen coaches for five FULL days at Austin YC! The sailors were treated to an amazing group of knowledgeable coaches that covered the spectrum of racing and coaching experience.

Why is J/80 racing that fun? We organize each year a Flanders Trophy with the support of two French clubs from Dunkirk (YCMN and Les Dauphins) and two clubs from Nieuwpoort (VYN and KYCN). The goal is to bring together the French and Belgian fleets during well organized races over a period of 4 fixed weekends.
