Makuch estimates he approached 185 mph when running on nitrous fuel and setting a speed record in that fuel category that was voided by incorrect paperwork on his part. This was his third trip in five years to Speed Week at Bonneville. With a larger car in the same XF/GR classification, Makuch registered 138 mph four years ago.

Kenny and Matt ready the roadster for this years assault on the salt. Ken, handily shattered the old 153mph record by raising the bar to 161.4mph. He then went after another record on NoS beating the 162mph record by running 164.3mph but hurt the motor and couldn't back it up. This year will be different!
